Early in the pandemic we started running a virtual Book Club to bring folks together who are committed to personal growth through reading books that challenge us. Each quarterly Book Club meeting features a different book, often from different genres–memoir, biography, non-fiction–and on different topics and themes, including history of the martial arts, but additionally topics such as body positivity, conflict resolution, abolitionist organizing, transgender rights, healing from trauma, accepting imperfection, and more. No martial arts or self-defense background is necessary– everyone with an open mind and a willingness to be challenged is welcome to join us. Join our Remind Group to receive updates and Zoom links.
